It is also the islands most frequented and the one which have the higher number of inhabitants, it has over 72, 000 of inhabitants. The home of 90 % of the inhabitants of the Seychelles islands is found in the Mahe islands. Boasting not only the international airport, the Mahe islands has also the smallest capital city in the world, the Victoria City! The island of Mahe is the perfect place to those who are fund of entertainment as it is the island which have the largest accommodations offer among all of the islands. Its animated nature also entertain and encourage its visitors to have the nicest holiday they ever had.

The most amazing thing about the Mahe islands is the bus, it runs up till 6 PM and with a fare of only 30 cents. You may travel as much as you want with your 30 cents, isn’t that wonderful? Besides enjoying your holiday you can also save some money for later use. If you don’t want to use the bus and want to be more in privacy then you may rent a car which will cost you around 40 euros per day. You may rent the car if your budget allows you or you may simply take the bus. It is up to you and your budget! As Mahe is the largest island it would be the best for you to make Mahe your last stop of your island hopping journey. When you land at Mahe, just pick a shuttle bus to the port of Victoria and hop on a ferry and go to Praslin or La Digue. It is only 60 minutes by ferry.

The Praslin is home to 7, 000 inhabitant and it is considered as the second largest island of the Seychelles. It is 12 kilometres long and 5 kilometres in Wide. It is also as beautiful as the island of Mahe despite its diminutive size. The Praslin island is also known by many as the ‘’Garden of Eden’’. The island is full of breath-taking beaches and is home to some of the most attractive beaches in the Seychelles, such as the Anse Lazio and the Anse Georgette.

The Praslin islands is also home to one of the most visited park of the Seychelles, the ‘’ vallee de Mai ’’. The vallee de Mai is a lush natural park which resembles more of a jungle. The lush forest is home to many plants and animal species. While walking through the park you will spot the Coco de Mer, it is a palm tree and also represents the symbol of the islands. Make sure the two beaches Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette is on your destination list. You do not have to worry about renting a car as the island is quite small and it is better to save money and travel by bus.

La Digue island

The La Digue Island is not even 20 minutes away from the Praslin islands if you take the boat. La Digue is the smallest islands compared to Praslin and Mahe. You may visit the island with the slowest pace as it encompasses only 9 Km. The island is inhabited by merely 2,200 people and is also the most favoured islands among the other two islands. If you are in search of a tranquil and relaxing place there is no further than La Digue.

You may visit the island by foot or bike as it is small, calm and really easy to get to know the island. Ox carts are occasionally used as taxis which is quite rare these days. Ance Source D’Argent is considered as the most famous beach in the La Digue. It has the finest sand and the most spectacular view. However there are no busses in La Digue, you will only spot some taxis and virtually there is no street light. The best thing to do is to rent a bike at the port and enjoy your holiday by exploring new things.
