La Desirade is a self-catering guest house, located on the south-eastern coast of Mahé. The guesthouse is only 8km away from the airport and It is a very good location as it is only 15km away from the capital Victoria as guests staying at La Desirade can take the opportunity of exploring the rest of Mahé Island and its surroundings. It is the ideal destination for tourists planning a vacation on the Seychelles Islands as the guesthouse is rented at a very reasonable and affordable tariff.
La Desirade has a quiet setting and a beautiful secluded beach. The view from the studio is fantastic and the beach next to it is nice enough for a morning swim. It consists of three air-conditioned and comfortable seafront apartments, each with a large bedroom, living area and kitchenette and each apartment is capable of accommodating 2 adults and 1 or 2 children.

To make a booking at La Residence, a minimum stay of 3 nights is required.
Features of La Desirade
La Desirade complex is built near the beach but close to the main road. It is an advantage to the guests staying at the guesthouse as they can easily go to the shop to buy their groceries and even the bus is very easily available if the guests want to go to the capital.

La Désirade is a self catering accommodation. The guesthouse does not offer any meals. However, there are 2 restaurants within walking distance where the guests staying at the guesthouse can have their breakfast, lunch or dinner and there are 2 nearby shops where guests planning to prepare their own meal can buy their groceries. Visitors coming to stay at La Desirade can also have the opportunity of discovering the delicious Seychelles Creole cuisine that is based mostly on fish and a large variety of exotic fruits, vegetables and spices. Apart from the 2 nearby restaurants, guests will find many other restaurants and bars in the surroundings where Creole buffets are served. Those people who like to consume fish and seafood will find Seychelles the ideal destination as they will get to choose from a wide variety of fish from the menus of the restaurants.
Cancellations Policy
If booking is cancelled up to 7 days before check, there is a 50% refund policy minus service fees. However if cancellation is done within 7 days of the reservation, it is non-refundable. Service fees are also non-refundable.

Activities & Excursions
Visitors coming to stay at La Desirade can plan excursions to different interesting places over the island. Information and maps of paths can be obtained from the Tourist Office in Victoria. They can also book a professional tourist guide that would make them visit the different exotic places of the island. Visits to Seychelles’ famous artists such as sculptor Tom Bowers and painters such as Devoud, Adelaide, Michael Adams and Lucie Luc can also be arranged by the professional guides.
These guides can plan the visitor’s trip according to their preferences. Some visitors may prefer to linger at the Craft Village and visit the Creole Institute. Some nature lovers may prefer to trek along paths cutting through green vegetation and allow themselves to discover the spectacular fauna of the island, the endemic plants and animals while other visitors may prefer to spend their day along the sea coast and enjoy the famous white powdery beaches surrounding the island. There are visitors who can wish to book a catamaran or cruise for a full day trip so as to discover the beautiful sea surrounding the Seychelles Islands.
While planning trips, visitors should always be cautious and protect themselves. Comfortable walking shoes should be worn and water bottles should be brought along and drunk abundantly.
